This time, all teachers and our friends in Little Darbi presented a musical performance entitled "Bumiku sayang, bumiku malang" (My lovely earth, my poor earth). This performance is followed by all students from toddler class to kindergarten B’s students.
In this Darbi's Green Fest, beside the students’ performance, Little Darbi also had a special performance! It was Little Darbi's Percussion. It was a musical instruments using secondhand goods, such as glasses, drinking bottles, trash, cans, etc. This percussion performance was a special performance from by all teachers in Little Darbi and conduct by “Kak” Azhar as a music teacher of Little Darbi.
Beside the performances, there was also a special workshop. This workshop was about how to re-use secondhand materials and trashes such as newspapers, plastic bottles, aluminum foil, milk cartons, etc, into a beautiful and useful things, such as pencil case and other stationery from a newspaper, wallet and purse from aluminum foil, hair clips, key chains and refrigerator magnets from old plastic bottles, photo frames from leftover rice and many more. The guests who come to this workshop, must make their own creations using these materials. The materials has already available and students and teachers of Little Darbi will ready to explain how to make it. Ok….who dare to try?
The Darbi’s Green Fest attended by approximately 2000 guests. Yes…it was a lot!! And all activities in Darbi’s Green Fest was presented for a better earth as our home living.
And do not forget one important message of this DGF is, let's green our earth, start from now and start from ourselves. Let's Go Green!
